        Hello, my name is Jeff Estes and I have been teaching band for 19 years. I have a Bachelors and Masters degree in Music Education. My wife's name is Vikki. We have three kids, Jackson - 14, David - 13, and Grace - 9. My favorite hobbies are swimming, cooking out and having a good time. I enjoy fishing, hunting, golf and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Carl Hooper
Director of Middle School Bands

Hello! Welcome to the Jim Ned Middle School Band page. My name is Carl Hooper. I am originally from Abilene, Texas where I attended school at Wylie ISD. I started band when I was in 6th grade under the direction of Jeff Estes, the current Jim Ned High School band director. I graduated from Wylie High School in 2000. I received my bachelor's degree in music education at Texas Tech University in December of 2004. I have taught in both the Woodville and Abilene Independent School Districts. I am excited about working at Jim Ned with the students, parents, and community to help make the band and school the best it can be!
